Oh Wait!

Did manage to get our Easter pics yesterday! So here are a few....Mason was having 'height' issues...he is NOT liking it that his 13 yo brother is taller than him! HA....he had to stand on the 'hill' and on his tiptoes....

Home again, home again...

Been home for a while but life didn't stop....so I'm FINALLY getting to post on here!

To say it was an AMAZING tour would be an understatement!

Tonight we have our homecoming concert....anxious to see the kiddos again.....and then tomorrow it is back to the normal routine....4 more weeks of school! YEA! So that is our next count down.

Also....I haven't been feeling well....don't know what is up. Happened a few months ago and going through it all again. MAJOR issues with my stomach. After going to church yesterday, fixing lunch and eating I went to bed to block the pain and stayed there all day. Today my stomach is better but every bone in my body aches from being in that bed. But I am determined to get something done today....at least the house is fairly clean, most of the laundry is done....so it should be okay!

Day after tomorrow!!!!

YIKES! We are almost there!

This year has been full of changes....shall I say I was a tad reluctant for those changes at first too...then I put my big girls on and went with it! And I will say that this is the first time that I'm not going like 90 to nothing a few days before we go! Tomorrow will be crazy, but that is okay!

So....we were ordered to 'disengage' and I took the time to scrap a few pages....here they are....

Simply Stunning!

Reva has a camera again!!! And the world knows it! And we are happy! HA!

So, she came up to church with Martina for Common Ground practice...they snuck over to the cross and took some pictures of her and John...I love this cross on our grounds and when I'm down I will go there often to pray....it was the first thing they placed on our campus before it was built a few years ago! Anyway....these pictures are simply stunning....I think she has a future....don't you??



Well...we have like 5 more days...YIKES! We leave Saturday for tour and I'm READY to go....still scared about Sunday am! PLEASE pray for good weather that day! And pray that God is with us and has us where HE would have us to go!

Scrappy day!

I love days like today! I started scrapping Friday night and ALL day today....I didn't even get out of my jammies today! Woohoo....and I completed 5 layouts and 6 cards! Some of the layouts are for C52...here is one of those and the best thing is it only took about 15 minutes to do this one....


Aren't they just the sweetest together! By the way...that is Martina and John! If you haven't heard he is her 'guy' and we are suspecting that they will be together forever! He sure loves her and she him and you can SEE the love!

I will scan the other layout I wanna show you guys tomorrow....let's just say it has my favorite scrapping subject in it! DH! I think it is just knowing that his health is going down hill that is making me want to scrap him so much!

I also did 6 cards but they will have to wait to be revealed until tomorrow (or Monday) too! And they hold a BIG surprise! I'm excited to show you all!

Well...off to bed....BIG day tomorrow at church! The kids sing in all 3 services!

The Good stuff....

There has to be some good found in every day right! Even in the midst of trials there is always triumph! So....thought I couldn't leave the day without some cards I did Saturday....I'm pleased with them and they are a tease if you will for a set of stamps that is being released in March from Queen Kat Designs! Scallops and Silhouettes...You'll want to get your hands on them as soon as they hit the stores!!!

Facing Trials

Today was a rough day....rough in the fact that it was mentally draining....I HATE to sound negative so I don't want to focus on that but it was a day to face past 'stuff'.....some of that 'stuff' that is even in that layout I just did...

Now...the question is, will the results be what we hope for....I don't know....but what I can know is that it has been brought to the table. Taken out of our hands and now it will be up to GOD to work out the small stuff....

I looked back on 2007 and thought it was so tough but now that I'm looking at 2008 I see that it has more in store for us that 2007 ever could have...I just pray that the outcome will once again bring us closer together as a family and closer to our heavenly Father....

So....after the night comes the DAWN! Right! So...here is to a new day....and I pray that we awaken refreshed and renewed in our understanding of how HE is God and we are NOT!

A bit personal...

I decided that this layout deserves its own post....Wanda had a challenge at ASF last week to do a layout that was personal, painful, out of the 'norm'....(make sure you check out the weekly dares!)

Manic Monday

Well...not that bad but it was busy! School....laundry.....more laundry....tidy house....work on CG stuff....more laundry....scan and upload a few layouts....and still have more laundry that needs to be done! Tomorrow will be much like a repeat but add in a WW meeting...I also have a new WW at work to do on Thursdays! Now the day it TIGHT with meetings...and this Thursday will be the first time. I probably need to run to a center to pick up stuff for the new one.

Tonight I need to go work on more CG stuff....

4. Take my picture in all 50 states of the US under one of those signs...you know...like they used to do a long time ago....I've hinted at times to dh when we enter a state...but haven't ever gotten one picture....sniff sniff....

Crazy Thursday!

I'm sure that this will just make you all sooooo excited but it is CRAZY Thursday! LOL....the day that I hit the floor running and don't stop....I managed to come home for a few between running today! Don't always get to do that but I did today and I've even finished my paper work so I had a few minutes! Back out the door in about an hour and won't be home till about 9:00pm....but these days are always good days in the end....

So...do YOU have a CRAZY day???? Is there one day of the week that you hit the floor running??? What is your Thursday like???

I SCRAPPED! How amazing is THAT! I did my first 6x12 layout even! You'll have to come HERE to see it though.....there is a great story behind it and I'm too lazy to retype it.....

This weekend was fairly uneventful but yet busy....we had practice with the kids Friday night...that was fun....things are shaping up for tour and getting exciting!

Saturday we had the card club at the store....that was nice.....Dana is doing a great job and all I have to do is be there to help! Well....at least be there.....

Sniff sniff....the last one.....Thanks ladies for 'playing'! It has been great!

Day 1 was Queen, Day 2 was Kat and so that leaves Day 3 as

Designs! I love designs.....I have been staring at a Dr Pepper logo and trying to figure out how to use it on a project! So... HOW could I let the QKD Logo go without notice!

Take a hard look at the QKD Logo at the top of the store page and let it be the inspiration for your design today! Maybe you will design your creation using the colors, maybe the oval shape, what ever it is just let me know HOW it inspired you for your creation!

The only ONLY on here is you have to use a stamp SOMEWHERE on your project! AND if you use a QKD stamp (current only) I'll give you an extra entry!

Make sure you post a link here to your creation and then if it uses only QKD Stamps make sure you post it in the QKD Gallery!

Yesterday was Queen....today we will focus on the KAT ~ well.....I think of cats....I love my kitty cat....she is so sneaky....sly....and sharp! So I want you to be like my kitty and find the answers to these questions from the QKD Store: (please send me an email with your answers, to JDiley@aol.com and put QKD Answers in the subject line! THEN make a post in my comments that you sent me an email! Just in case....I know I've had emails 'lost in space' before and I would NOT want that to happen here!) Three questions about the store....

THEN if you use a QKD stamp on your project you will get an extra entry! AND if you think I'm gonna stop THERE....well...think again....if you use a QKD stamp that IS a crown you will get ANOTHER entry!! (there are a few different sets that have crowns in them!)

I said I loved him right????

The weekly challenge this week at ASF is to make a project using the 'Jumbo Playing Card' size (7.5 x 5) so I made this for my wonderful hubby.....putting a magnet on the back of it so he can put it in the car....


I'm almost done with all the cards I need to make for this month! Have two more to go! Can't wait to start showing them to you all!

Oh....and some EXCITING news coming in April! I'm soooooo excited but it is one of those 'gotta wait' things....sigh sigh sigh......

Tuesday....

Today is Tuesday....tomorrow is a new day....and sometime that is what we look for. It wasn't really that bad of a day but with it being weary and chilly outside it makes you feel yucky. I did get to go see my teachers for my Tuesday afternoon Weight Watchers and they are doing SO great! They lost ANOTHER 34 lbs! All together they have almost lost 400 lbs now! Is that NOT amazing! I have about 3 or 4 of them that are either in maintenance now or will be SOON! They always bring a bright spot to my day! Trying to get another group of teachers at another local school but they are at 18 and we have to have 20 to start....hopefully they will BEG and find 2 more!

I have some work to do for CG tomorrow, have to go get the truck from the transmission place (oh joy) and then there is Thursday.....can I tell you that I'm looking FORWARD to Friday...and praying that there is nothing that I HAVE to do that day besides school!!!

I did a few cards yesterday...but will need to take some digi pics of them before I share....and it has to be daylight to do that! So.....right now I think I might go find my jammies...give hubby a kiss....and then see if I can create a few more cards!

Life...it is always going!

Well...I had to throw in the towel yesterday on the L.O.A.D. challenge...I just couldn't work ahead and was stressing over it....so because the rest of life is stressed I thought it would be better to just let it go....I did 13 layouts though and for that I'm HAPPY!

Today I'm going to go work on the mountain of cards I need to have done in the next few weeks!

Where did I go???

Have you ever wondered where YOU went? HA! I've been non stop since the first of the year! We had our big choir retreat last weekend! 160+ 6,7,8th graders! WOW! Where did they all come from? Then school started back...and then Weight Watchers is now back in full force....so....yea...

Happy New Year to all!

We spent the evening at home....but there ended up being a little fun in there! Ended up that all the kids were gone except Noah...and he was soooo sad....I'm sure you would be sad too if you were a 9yo and had to spend NYE with your mom and dad! HA!

SO.....dad went out and got fireworks! We NEVER buy fireworks....but this MADE this boy's year! The sweetest words said as he was shooting them with our supervision was 'look dad....I'm doing a show for you!'....sooooo sweet and definitely a priceless moment!

I pray that your year will be one blessed by the Hand of God Himself and that 2008 brings you and yours joy and health!

Merry Christmas!!

Hope your day was filled with all that you dreampt of and MORE!

We had a great day! A bit of a 'scaled' down year for us but by the kids reactions you would NEVER know it! And that is what made it GREAT!

The biggest hit was one of Mason's gifts....he got very few 'gifts' under the tree because our gift to him was relieving him of some debts he had with us for his car (nicest present that anyone got! But hey...sometimes it just works that way) Of course mom couldn't let him go without ANYTHING under the tree....Anyway...as a small boy....from about 3 until he was 5 ish he fell in LOVE with these little metal 'real' tools called "Cool Tools". He had everyone that they ever made (we think) and they were the highlight of his toys...played with them EVERY day...and one time even helped dad fix the car because of a Cool Tool! (none of dads tools were working! HA!) He had the whole get up....the tool box, the tool belt and even the work bench...they make them now but they are NOT metal any more....so the 'real' has gone out of them....well...as most families grow the toys are sold at the yearly yard sale or otherwise lost in the ages of growing up...well....Mom found a few of them on none other than 'Ebay'.....one of the auctions I quickly lost...it was the BIG collection....BUT it went way over the price we could pay...BUT much to my surprise I won the other bid! Not quite as big...but still said the same thing....it arrived....mom wrapped it with sweet smiles on her face praying that it would hit the same spot with him as it did with us!

And sure enough....the second he saw what it was...tears poured out of this 18 year old young man....he held each tool with those eyes that brought him back to when he was a young boy.....aaahhh....so sweet was the day!


So...I'll close for this beautiful Christmas Day and pray that yours held a moment that was so dear and sweet....

My mom asked for some more home made cards this year as one of her gifts. She loves that kind of thing. (yea mom!) She requested lots of birthday ones so that is what I focused on. I picked lots of the ones I've already made and then I added these!

This one is my FAVORITE....but I had a problem...NO 6x6 envies! Luckily Jo is saving the day and she has some so is bringing me one to put with it!! YEA JO!


I love this last one too.....masculine.....and fun!

A Scrappin Friendsy Design Team Call

A Scrappin Friendsy is searching for two new design team members. Could you be one of them? Each member will serve a six-month term on ASF.

Requirements:
- Newsletter - One layout or project per month, and a write up of the project that includes products used.
- Newsletter - select “Hot Picks” layouts and provide RAK prizes once during your six month term.
- Challenge Rotation with other DT members: create and post one challenge every six weeks.
- Challenge Rotation with other DT members: during our challenge weekends, at least one challenge (these will happen every three months).

All projects completed for ASF will be yours to keep; however, you will need to scan and upload your projects to a private album in your gallery by the deadline prior to newsletter release. When you upload your project, you need to post your project into the correct newsletter thread. You also need to have a small paragraph write-up to go with your layout, written in third person. If you have a question ask...good grammar is not required. That’s why we have an editor! Be prepared to be a TEAM. Ideas are ALWAYS welcome. As a matter of fact, they are DESIRED.

You must have an active gallery at ASF. An active gallery is considered one that has projects other than DT assignments.

You must maintain an active presence on the ASF boards.


Incentives:
- While you are a member of the ASF Design Team, you will receive a 20% discount at the store (online or brick and mortar). If you order product and choose to have it shipped with your assignment products, postage will be paid! Also, if you know product has been added to the B&M store but you don't see it uploaded to the online store, you are welcome to call the store and place your order!
- You will receive products free of charge to complete your Design Team assignments.
- You will be given recognition for all projects that are uploaded to the Design Team gallery. You will also be featured on our Design Team website with a photo and small informational section about you.

Lesson for all Hubbies out there....

Lesson 101 to all the HUBBIES out there...NEVER NEVER NEVER...call your wife on a Monday morning (well....right at noon) and tell her you are on the way home with a coworker to have lunch!!! Even if you are PICKING up the lunch!

Can we say, said wife was STILL in her jammies (Oh wait...they were at the store that is about 10 minutes down the road), had literally JUST shut the school books....had not taken a bath, had not put the first broom or vacuum to the floor...had not made sure the breakfast dishes were done...had just called for all the laundry in the house and btw...has just had TOM find her the day before!....KWIM?

But many hands made light work and said hubby understood that said wife would not appreciate said hubby showing said coworker through her house and said family (we) made it through!

Said wife did take two tylenol before said hubby and coworker came though...that helped....

Okay...back to my regularly scheduled life....and yes....said wife still loves said hubby very much! (and they still do crazy things like this after 23 years....one would think they had learned that lesson somewhere before....)

Anyone know how to clone?

HA! I'm not a fan of cloning but today I sure wish there was a way to make about 3 of me!
