Today I'm bringing you a 12x12 sketch to hopefully inspire you to scrap a page about your favorite dad or grad!

Fairly simple so get creative!!!

I used lots of the goodness from the June Scrapbook Heaven's Elite Kit!  It is sold out so you will want to make sure you sign up for our Angel Club so you won't miss another kit!  They always ROCK and are HUGE!!!

Today I'm bringing you a sketch!  YEA!  I love sketches don't you?! (be watching in July as Sccrapbook Heaven will be having a Summer Sketch Crop! The DT and staff are already getting ready to bring you some awesome sketches!)

I decided to go with a card sketch first (I'll be bringing you another sketch on Friday so make sure you come back!) in case you need to whip up a fast card for your favorite guy this Sunday!

I bet you could even use this for a layout sketch!!!!  Come on....give it a try!

I used this month's release, Anna Sapheer Mermaid!  I am sooooooo thrilled to be designing with her!  Love everything about her!  AND I used one of the Royal Monthly kits for the paper!

Monday Hop time!

Wow....this week went FAST!  Can't believe Monday rolled around again, but it has and it is time to bring you another awesome Queen Kat Designs hop!  And again we are introducing JUNE new release stamps!  YEA!

This week we were inspired by one of QK's awesome sketches....this one

And here is what I came up with

I used the new White Rabbit Mermaid stamp....she is so fun!  By the way, have you seen the Alice in Wonderland movie yet?  It is super!  And after seeing the movie it only made me enjoy all the Alice stamps that Queen Kat Designs has out!  Make sure you check them ALL out!

Releasing GREAT time!

It is almost the first of the month which means NEW RELEASES for Queen Kat Stamps once again!  That is right, this Wednesday there will be NEW STAMPS in the store!  Woooohoooo!

First the bit of blog hop info stuff we have to do....like you should have hopped here from the Dark Ink Sorority Blog!  If not, start back from the top so you won't miss a thing at the official Queen Kat Designs blog! 

Now, one more thing before I go on...I MUST take this time to THANK all the service members and their families on this Memorial Day!  It is not to celebrate the beginning of summer, but this is the day we remember those that have fought and those that laid down their lives for the cause of Freedom!  I want to especially thank my wonderful hubby who served 20 years in the US Navy and currently my oldest daughter, Ashley, and her wonderful hubby Lance for serving in the Air National Guard!  Ashley has spent about 8 months of the last 15 in active duty roll and this time last year was serving in the United Arab Emeritz!  We are so proud of her!

Okay...back to the hop! 

I got to design with two new WIS girls, but I'm only gonna show off one of them!  AND to switch things up we are doing anything BUT a card this week....we had a little booboo and thought that we were just going to do any stamps until remembered that this was release time so we needed to show off the new stamps...so...I whipped up one more project! I took the new release, Anna Sapheer, and used her on a layout!  It is a layout of my wonderful hubby and his brother when they lived in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, they actually got to go back several years later and do another stint there with their dad when he was in the Navy!  Vince was all of about 3 and his brother was 1....don't you love the hats! Lucky guy to have lived in Hawaii two different times!

I thought she would be perfect on a layout like this!  I love adding her to my growing collection of all the WIS girls!

Then, thought I would go on and show you a few other layouts using QKD stamps....

My sweet son, Adison, right before going to prom with his sweet friend.  I used one of the QK Background stamps!

I used the stamps from the March/April Findings kit!!!  OH MY.....if you haven't checked out those kits you neeeeeed too!  They are one of a kind kits!

Hoppin Inspiration!

It is Monday once again, which means it is time for another Queen Kat Designs Hop!  THEN it is the fourth Monday of the month so that means it is INSPIRATION time!

The colors, the trees, the brightness of one side (brightness, is that a word?) and the more tranquil look on the other were all things that hit me when I saw the picture.  I've been designing this month with the May WIS kit of the month which features Suri.  If you haven't signed up to receive the kit why are you waiting!!! SPECIAL NEW RELEASE!!!!!.

OH MY GOODNESS!  I am beyond excited about this release from Queen Kat Designs!!!

A new line of stamps called Sin Bonet Sue!  And they are out of this world adorable!  Girls with attitude!!!  Not that I am one to condone 'sin' but this one is just a must have!  HA!

Now, the cuteness...or should I say the 'sin'fulness!

I got to design with the 'Bird Girl' as I call her!  I just cracked up with the saying in the set 'I bet you taste like chicken'....that had me sold on her!  And how much fun she is to create with is even better than that!  Here are a few cards I've made with her...

Is she not the cutest!!!  All the girls are a MUST have and they are in RUBBER!!  I've already got a few headed my way and I WILL be collecting them all!!!! Monday is once again upon us!

And the BEST thing about Monday's is that it is HOPPIN time again!

This week, being the 3rd one of the month, is always a color challenge and ours was monochromatic!  Oh....this is a BIG challenge for me....I like LOTS of colors...LOL

BUT here is what I did come up with....

I went with the all neutral colors of brown! The stamps are ALLL QK stamps, and the birdcage one is like my allll time favorite!  And if you hopped a few weeks ago, I shared this card....

again using all the neutral brown colors and this month's WIS kit! 

I do like how they both turned out but man....that is a super challenge to me!  HA!  How about you trying it and sharing your creation with me???  I'd love to see what you come up with.

QKD Hoppin Good Day!

Now, before I go on....a few things....first did you know we had a ReRelease crop this weekend?  It isn't too late to join in the fun and get in on some awesome gift certificates to the store!  And that brings me to the next thing....RUBBER!  Oh my goodness!  I got my Royal kit Friday and started to play with it a bit this weekend...the stamps were rubber and OH MY GOODNESS!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!  The quality is above everything I've stamped with!  The details are beautiful and I am sooo excited that we have gone to rubber!  So...back to the first thing...GO NOW AND GET SOME OF THE CHALLENGES DONE!  You WANT to win!  YOU WANT some of the new rubber stamps! 

Okay...this being the second Monday of the month we are bringing you another sketch!  This month I'm designing with the WIS Kit stamps....this month it is Suri and some awesome accessories!  Don't miss out!  When she is gone she is GONE!

NEW RELEASE PREVIEWS!!!

Yup....it is the FIRST of the month and that means NEW stamps are about to hit the store at Queen Kat Designs...AND not only just NEW STAMPS but NEW RUBBER stamps!  I'm soooo excited!  I know you will all be so pleased with the stamps in rubber!  The impression you get ESPECIALLY with the WIS girls will be sooo worth it!

This being the first of the month the Design Team gathers our inspiration from a sketch...and here is the Monday's team sketch...

This month I'm designing from the WIS Monthly kit....Suri is this month's girl...she is BEAUTIFUL...

I'll be sharing several cards this month using her, but for this sketch I decided to use one of the other stamps in the set to show you all how fun all the sets are!  Here is what I came up with...

I stamped a couple of the sets of the flowers, did a quick 'color' and then fussy cut them out...tied them with a bit of ribbon and pop dotted them on a circle that was dry embossed.  I just love how it turned out! 

Now, just because I need to show how beautiful Suri is also...here is a card I made using her...

Can't wait to share more creations with her throughout the month!  Keep checking in every Monday for more!

How does this inspire YOU???

Hello my hoppin friends!  It is Monday once again and time for another Queen Kat Designs Hop!  It is also the last week of the month so that means it is INSPIRATION Monday!

First, the 'detail' stuff....you should have hopped here by way of the Dark Ink Sorority blog....did you?  If not, go start at the top so you won't miss a thing!  We start every Monday (and Tuesday also....did you know we did another hop on Tuesday with more of the Design Team???) at the official Queen Kat Designs Blog!  And you WANT to check the blog out for our BIG news!!!!!!  Did you hear????

Okay....back to the inspiration!  Here is what we were given to inspire us this month....isn't the coolest??

Here is what I came up with...

First I picked up the circles....I love circles...then the red and black jumped out at me...I wanted to put a 'touch' of blue in there but I just couldn't make it fit with this card, but I will say those are AWESOME colors to work with...you should try it sometime! 

For my card I used Pink Candy Hair (she is waiting to be made out of rubber!  Wooohooo!).  I stamped her and only colored in a couple of the flowers...just to make them pop!  Making simple cards like this is right up my alley!  I love to color, but there are times I just want to go with the stamp and all of the QKD stamps are great for that!

Monday once again!

Mondays sure do come fast....especially when you are having fun!!!

We had fun this weekend at the Flower crop for Queen Kat Designs.....did you check it out?  Make sure you do!

This is the Monday that we have a color challenge....this week was to create with yellow, blue and green!  Here is what I came up with...

I used one of Che's designs Called Wa Loli....she is the cutest....and what makes this even more special is that my 13 yo dd, Lydia, colored her!  She is a avid fan of all Queen Kat stamps and plays with them about as much as I do, but she is very fond of the stamps from the Dark Ink Sorority line! I think she is going to do just fine when it comes to stamping!

I had a blast creating this!  I've seen so many layouts lately with the little 'banner' type trim so I decided to give it a whirl.  I used all sorts of new and old goodness on here....everything from 7 Gypsies 97% Complete stickers, some Dream Street alphas, a little Hambly and the flowers I fussy cut from some old Imagination Project printed paper!  Oh and there is more.....and believe it or not, the BACKGROUND paper is from a Christmas collection!  And of course....don't forget the Prima flowers!  HA.....I just got lost in this creation and had a blast.  The picture is an old one too....my hubby and my now 13 yo dd many years ago swinging together...I actually scrapped this picture when I first started scrapping but love the picture so much, had a duplicate and just had to scrap it again!  Hope you enjoy!

I used April's release called Sadie's Victory Stamp by Maigan Lynn. I used my Copics and Prima's to color her and then I fussy cut her out (my favorite thing to do....).  I used some older Basic Grey (because I wanted to use purples and I don't have many of those...hmmm.....)

THE FIRST OF THE MONTH!!!!!

And you know what that means for Queen Kat Designs!  It means NEW RELEASES!!!!!  YIPPIE!!!!!

I get so excited when I get new stamps to work with and this month's are no exception to that!

I used one of the newest ladies on the block...Pink Candy Hair!!  Isn't she just adorable!  I colored her with my Prima's and my Copics.....just so much fun!  Pink Candy will be available Wednesday so you won't have to wait long!  Until then, go check out all the goodness in the store and see what Vicki has cooking up for everyone there!  Bet you will fill your cart!  Just save room for Pink Candy!!!

Wow....it is Monday again!

It rolls around sooooo fast these days doesn't it!?

This is one of those months that we have 5 Mondays and that is always a special time...that means SPECIAL project time....Penny challenged us to make a BANNER...OH MY....Did I fret over this one!  I just was at a loss....after a little thinking, looking in galleries and some mags here is what I came up with...

I decided to go with the spring theme.....I pulled out some of my old stamps and there this one was...it is from the March 09 kit!  I can't believe that there are any of these in stock, and after today I bet they are GONE so go QUICK!!!!  The CUTEST stamps are in this kit! Then I dug in my stash and found this cute frame!  It is an older Elise chipboard frame....already had the nice holes so adding the ribbon was a breeze!  NOW I have a cute little spring frame hanging up here in my room!  More creativity!  (and my dd thinks it is super cute...ha!)

Woooohoooo!  I'm back!  I sure missed you all last week!  I will say that my week though, was awesome!

The two beds hit me, with the little space between and the strips on the bed covers (oh...and my 13 yo dd said I needed to get her the set on the left...).And here is where it lead me...
