I can't believe I didn't share this news!!!!

I was selected for Scrapbook Heaven's PAPER Design Team!!! I'm soooo excited to get to be a part of an awesome DT team! COME check them out HERE. These ladies are a group of TALENTED ladies and I can't believe I'm among them!

AND my first REVEAL for the July kit was released yesterday! Here are the layouts I've completed so far with this awesome kit!









I think July is sold out, but can I say, DON'T wait for the August kit to come OUT ORDER IT NOWWWWW!!!!! If you are part of the Angel Club you will get lots of perks! I had the honor to play with one of Magin Lynn's NEW releases, Annabelle, from the Whimsical Ink Line (exclusively sold at QK Designs). Here are a few of my creations.





She is simply beautiful as are all of the WIS girls. Each has her own uniqueness and you will want to collect them ALL! (pst, they are on sale!!!)

Magical Flamingo Monday

Anyone want an 18 and 19 year old??? LOL....

Sorry that I'm late in the day for posting this but 2 of my kids that were out of the house are now IN the house! Sure threw me off schedule today...

ANYWAY!!!! I GOT THEM!!!! The Flamingos!! YOU HAVE To have them they are just toooo fun!



I went fairly simple with them (that seems to be my style isn't it) but in no time at all made this cute card! I sure hope you enjoy and REMEMBER that we have some NEW stamps coming out

Royal Wednesday Hop Time!

When I saw the theme for the hop today I was all over it! I LOVE me some Vintage goodness!

Queen Kat Designs has some of the BEST Vintage stamps out there, and in alll reality any stamp can be given the 'look'. Which ever way you choose it just give it a TRY! You can go vintage 'funky' or vintage earthy....You can distress, or you can just go simple....what ever it is you HAVE to try it!

Here is my card....the stamp is one of the retired Vintage Girls by the Queen Kat's Grandmother herself!



Even though this one is retired there are 13 stamps that aren't that are a MUST for every collection! I have 4 or 5 of them! (pst...great for 'guy' type cards too!)

Monday Monday....

It is actually a half way decent day for a Monday so far! I sureeeee could use one of these and hope that it stays this way!

I posted today on the Whimsical Ink Sorority Blog today....why don't you hop over there and see it and you HAVE to see all the wonderful ideas on that blog! You are missing out on a LOT if you don't!

It is SUMMER!!!

And if where you live is like where I live it is SUMMER there too!

YUCK...HOT.....I mean, this morning at 10 it was already 85....eeewww....and by the looks of the week it is going to be mid 90's for a while (don't wanna know heat indexes....eeewwww).

So, how about a little LEMONADE! Oh yea... How about some nice coooool lemonade!

Okay, so I don't have the real stuff I can give you, but at least you can THINK it with this card! LOL....I used one of the newest release stamps from Queen Kat Designs.... The Beach Essentials Stamp Set. I'd love to be sitting on the beach, soaking up some sun, and then walk into my BEACH HOUSE and stamp for a while, then back out to the beach...doesn't that sound like fun???

QK Release Hop!!!

Hi friends and stampers!!! It is another QK RELEASE day and we are showing ya everything through a hop! You should have joined me from Victoria's Blog (hope you welcomed her to the QK Team! Okay...now that we have all the logistics, on to the fun!

I got to play with the Aloha Spirit Stamp Set....simple little set but full of sooo many possibilities and worth having in your stash!

For this card I stamped the Hibiscus flower on white cardstock, colored it and then duplicated this but cut it out and used some pop dots (I sure do love pop dots) to bring some dimention to the card.



This card was super simple also, but I love how it turned out! And yes, I used pop dots again! HA!



I have a few more creations in our Gallery PLUS you will want to stop there after the hop to see everything!!!

Tuesday....

Nothing special about today....but thought I would just share a few layouts I've done lately....

Royal Wednesday Hop!

How about another great week with a fun hop! You should have joined me from Tina's Blog.

If you just happened on my blog you WANT to start the hop at the beginning so go HERE to the Queen Kat Designs Blog and start at the beginning!

This week the challenge is to use stitching on your cards! You can machine stitch, hand stitch, or even faux stitch, as long as there is some stitching on it!

I went with the faux stitching.





I used two different stamp sets (cuz they are so cute together), the owl is from the HOOTERS stamp set (such cute little owls!!!). The flower is from the Diva Monster Set . I hand drew the stems with a glaze pen and just cut them out.

I love faux stitching and love how it frames every thing, kind of like putting a finishing touch on your design!

Hello!!!!!

HELLO!!!! Is there anybody out there? (just checking!)

How is your Friday going so far? Are you ready for a big holiday weekend (for all our US folks) OR are you just going to have a nice relaxing weekend to chill?

I think we are going to the movies on Saturday (gotta see Night at the Museum!) and then the rest of the weekend (including Monday!) we are going to just chill and do as little as possible). SO for me that means I get to play in my scrappin/stampin stuff!!! Woohooo!

To start the weekend I got my Geisha Girls Stamp Set #2 (just got them!! wooohooo!) and made up this quick little 'hello' card. Think I'll send it to a friend that is having a rough spot right now! Hopefully it will bring a smile to her day....

Magical Monday

Aaahhh...Monday....(who says that?)

It is Monday but we can fill it with a little magic and whimsy by playing with one of the new Whimisical stamps. It takes the 'dread' off of Monday and puts some fun and magic into it.

These stamps can take on any 'mood' that you want them to take on just by choosing different colors. You can make them bright and cheery, with brighter colors and maybe red or brown hair, or you can opt for a little calming effect by maybe black hair and lighter colors. What ever you choose they are all magic...and the magic is in you!

It is Royal Wed!!!

I'm not playing this time, but you guys HAVE to go check out all the fun stuff at the Royal Wed Blog Hop!!! I'm sooooo loving the Wimsy line of stamps! Just thought I'd share...

So...this last weekend, Saturday to be exact, was NSD (National Scrapbook Day) and of course my wonderful hubby let me scrap ALLLLL WEEKEND!!! And I played in a crop at Scrapbook Heaven
and it was called The Music In Me. All the 'themes' were around different genre's of music! There were 10 challenges in all, including the one I got to post....I COMPLETED THEM ALL! Woohooo!

Here is a little 'taste' of what I did!

She Is Serving.....

On the 28th, my girl, my daughter, my friend, leaves for UAE for 3 months!!!

To say that I'm proud of her would be a HUGE understatement....and then on top of that to say that her Dad is proud of her is even MORE of an understatement! He knows because of being a 20 year vet, what it is like to serve and knows all the ins and outs of what her emotions are, what her thoughts are and some of what faces her in the next few months. Although it isn't a LONG deployment, it is one that will keep her apart from her daughter, her husband and her family non the less!

So, today my wonderful hubby was out and about and saw this flag. It is used as a symbol to let others know that you have a family member currently serving. Of course, his pride in her and this country that he loves so much, our country, he brought it home and he himself proudly placed it on our door....I think I saw a tear in his eye too...and of course I cried....I don't fear for her in the typical way that folks fear that their loved one is serving...no, my fear is more for myself....STAY SAFE GIRL!!! Momma and Daddy are PRAYING FOR YOU!!!
