Special Project.....

I love special projects...but to me it means I scrap a page!  LOL....cuz most of the time I'm making cards with the wonderful QKD stamps but when special project comes out that means I get to SCRAP!  LOL...

On top of it being 'special project' it was to be 'school inspired'.  

Here is what I created...

I picked these pictures because they are of my grand daughter the day she was starting preschool!  She is just a HAM and loves the camera still to this day to be pointed at her!!  She will pose in a second!  So these pictures were my inspiration.  I used one of the stamps from one of the QK's past Royal Kits!  I stamped right on the tickets....so much fun!

Now it is time to keep hopping and jump on over to Roni's place and see what she has in store for us....bet it is beyond awesome!!!

Scary Hop!!!

Hi guys!  I'm a little late....had some bad back pain and took a 'loopy' pill which I RARELY do because I HATE them and it put me OUT!!!!  I feel so bad but now I'm here and getting into this hop!  If you just hopped on my site but want to start at the beginning (which you would be crazy if you didn't because you'd miss out on sooo much) go to the top at the Queen Kat Designs Blog.  Then if you are on track, you should have hopped here from Penny's awesome place!

It is color week and we are going with those 'scary' colors...well, they are really not scary, but they are some fun colors that we seem to see with the Halloween theme and that was PERFECT for this month's stamps!

Here is what I made...

I had fun with this one!  Used Nice Legs set....stamped a few of the candies, cut them out and pasted them on!  It is so much cutier IRL!

It is a super sketch and here is what I did with it:

I pulled out one of the sets of stamps that came in the May Royal kit!  (psssttt...it is on SALE!!!!)  I love the dress form stamp!  I stamped it 3 times and then added a little 'pizazz' with the trim to the bottoms of the forms!  I thought it came out really cute! 

Okay...that is it for me today.....but now you HAVE to hop on over to Roni's Ink Stains and see what she has in store for us today!  Bet it rocks!!!!

Such a fun photo....but what kept hitting me was the RED and the wavy edges.....so here is what happened...

I added a little of the green in the coloring of the leaves and the 'wavy' part from using one of the templates that QK makes, you might not see it but I do!  LOL!

Time for Tuesday!

Wow....this summer is almost over!  Around here most of the schools have started back....we will start next Monday....hard to believe it went too fast!

I do like change, but I love Tuesdays where I know I can check out an awesome hop every week!  New stuff...fun stuff...inspiring stuff....but the same Tuesday!!!

And here is what I came up with....I had FUN with this one!

I got to play with Lady Emilia this month!  For this card I stamped her with my stazon onto vellum! Then I got out my color pencils and colored just specific parts to make her pop!  This is sooo neat in real life!  And then I'm on a button kick this month so it was perfect that I got to use buttons!!!

This is Brooklyn's Spring....for this one I used some home made glimmer mist, stamped her and then used my copics to color her in!  I love it....you can't see the real result here....I sure hate that part....

Hi guys!  Tuesday made it here again....does anyone think it got here even faster than the last time???  Momma always said the older you get the quicker time flies....I think she was right!

The stamp is from one of the recent 12x12 Kits!  Yummy fun!!!

It is HOT!

At least here in the south it is HOT....and definitely full fledged summer....but then again it has been since May and it will stick around until at least the first of October!  Yup....we live in the SOUTH!

Anyway....we have a HOT hop for ya today at Queen Kat Stamps!  We are showcasing awesome stamps and all of us are using the colors RED, WHITE, and BLUE!

Here is what I came up with....

The stamps I used are from the Birds of a Feather set, of which there are only 2 left so I would HURRY and get one now (it's on sale too!). I donated the card to our local VA hospital...they love giving the patients little goodies like this with their breakfast on those special days like the 4th and Memorial Day....I encourage you to do that if you have a local VA!!!

I used Abby Mermaid for this one!  Isn't she a doll! I ALSO used a new product coming to the Queen Kat Store and I think something that will be come my absolute FAVORITE embellishment, a Happy Stick!  Isn't it the BOMB!!!  There are several different varieties and they make that perfect little touch to add to your projects!  Here is a layout I did using one of them too...

It was the flowers that really jumped out at me!  I used the White Rabbit Mermaid stamp and colored her with my copics and prismas! Hope you like her!
