It has been a while....quite a while but that doesn't mean life has stopped...

It is time to bring some new perspective to this 'blog' thing....question is can I keep it up? SURE I can!

With 2012 fast approaching it is time to gear up and bring more than just scrapbooking/stamping to this blog...it is time to keep up with family, with life, with weight loss journey, with GRAND CHILDREN! Yes...we have even added a new member to our family! I am now the grandma to Bailie (age 13) and Ian who was born 12/24/11.

How about a few little pics....here is my sweet grand daughter:

At 13 she is going on 21, she is beautiful!

And here he is....Ian William, born 12/24/11 weighing in at 9lbs 4 oz and almost 21 inches long...

Not only is he here but I had the honor to be IN THE ROOM with mom and dad as he came into this world. That alone was no small feat. Mom's labor wasn't the easiest, and believe it or not, even at 9lbs plus he was 3 weeks and 1 day early! He currently is in the NICU but has already come far and hopefully will be home with mom and dad SOON! Here are a few more pics of his little journey so far:

AND today he came off the heating blanket and now just to work his way off the oxygen!

My thoughts through all this are simple...it is worth it! I am anxiously awaiting the day to hold him and coo properly over and with the sweet little one. Hopefully you will soon see those pictures here, until then....just know that I LOVE being GRANDMA!

Happy birthday to our fearless leader and QUEEN Vicky!!! Hope you are having an AWESOME day and most wonderful birthday!

Here is the card that I made for V....it is using one of the awesome Artemiss Creations Zodiac stamps! They are more than just a zodiac stamp...they are cute too!

I colored the stamp using my copics and cut it out! I cut a circle and then free handed the background out of yellow cardstock....cut a few clouds and a fence and went to town! So fun!

Hi guys! It has been a rough couple of weeks for me....BUT I do have a goodie to show you! I'm so sorry I'm late!

Today we were challenged to share anything BUT a card...so I did what comes natural to me and that is a layout!

I used one of the stamps from the March Get Ink Kit!! This is an awesome picture of my oldest dd and her sweet family. She and her hubby are both Air Guard, Lance is currently stationed in Iraq and Ashley is in the field handling what she does best for one of the flood sites along the Mississippi River! They both LOVE their country and love serving! Ashley is also set to be deployed again in 2012. Never ending cycle in the life of a Military Family.

Introducing Mitzi Wiuff!

Oh how excited I am to be part of this release! What an AMAZING artist!

Okay....gotta settle down a bit and get the 'business' part of this release done...first, WELCOME to a fantastic blog hop brought to you by Queen Kat Stamps to introduce a new stamp designer Mitzi Wiuff! Now....I got the honor to design with Dreaming on Aquamarine Tides stamp! She is beautiful and unlike any stamp I've designed with!

Here are two cards I made with this amazing stamp:

I decided I wanted to just use my inks and do some 'smudging' with them! (with the aid of some Tim Holtz tools/inks of course!) I simply inked my blending tool with several different colors of ink...with circular motions....I worked from the inside colors to the outside...I LOVED the effect....so much that I did it on this card also!

Both of these cards are so easy, yet the look is priceless!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

We had a blast as a family! Got the 'boat' running and decided that we would take it out one time before we put it up for sale (we have one awesome boat for sale! Let me know if you are interested! 9 passenger ski boat, rebuilt engine that runs GREAT!!!! We will make you a great deal!

Anyway...how about a few photos from our day....

Boys had a lot of fun! (Girls did too...but we were not as 'adventurous'! HA!)

BUT the highlight of the day was when dad decided he wanted to go tubing! YUP, even at 60 and with one leg it didn't stop him! Here he is! He LOVED it!

Then...last but so not least...coming in for the evening...it was simply BEAUTIFUL!

This week we were given a color challenge....check this out...

Okay....so I thought to myself...can I make this a 'guy' card...and yup! I could!

All I did was add just a hint of blue and it worked! I needed to make some cards for my sons when we were on our mission trip...to let them know how proud I was of them and this stamp was PERFECT for them! Noah was so excited to get handmade cards from mom! Samantha Nowak's The Poserz Collection, Max.

This month I got an awesome stamp from Valarie Wade's collection called Cloud bunnies...they are the cutest! I made this card to give a friend of mine who is having a little boy....(I actually gave it to her Saturday and she loved the card!)

I actually stamped the image right on the patterned paper and then colored it from there! Cut it out with one of my dies, pop dotted it on top of a bit more of the patterned paper, added the sticker and a bit of ribbon and there ya go!

Some of the layouts I did while I was in Massachusetts!

Lydia is the proud owner of her own cello! She named 'him' (told her that it was supposed to be a 'her' but she said no way...) Allegretto. She is just simply a beautiful girl!

I miss this girl....praying for her daily and just know some day she will come home....and I am waiting!

His smile is only part of what makes this young man AMAZING! His heart is just as awesome! And if you look into his eyes you simply MELT!

And of course one of hubby....sigh....I love this man!

It is a COLOR challenge...or really this one is the LACK OF COLOR! Because we were challenged to use WHITE! Keep most of the project white and add only a little color with the stamp or minimal others!

Thought I would share with you guys some of my recent QKD creations! Make sure you check out the hop every Tuesday!!! And WATCH for January's changes! Wooohoooo! Lots of winning to be had!

Here are a few creations I whipped up using some of the stamps from Roni's line! Ink Stained Roni! Her stamps are just out of this world!

I stamped the images and then I covered them with glossy accents! Let them dry and inked away! I even used one of QK's background stamps! I just love how these came out and hope you enjoy them!

Wow! 4 years!!!!

Happy birthday to Queen Kat Designs and especially our awesome leader...Vicki!!! I'm honored to be one of the 'oldies' around QK and have enjoyed the ride! Love to see things grow and one thing I will say about QKD is that things are always changing! I enjoy that! It is never the 'same ole' thing....LOVING all the new stamp designers and the tried and true!

Hope you have been following the weeks activities on the main blog! If not you need to go there (back to the beginning of this hop) and check all the challenges and prizes out! If you are hopping along you should have hopped over here by way of Lara's Blog!

Now....what do I have to show you....oh yea....can you color me EXCITED about this project!!!! I was inspired to create this by looking through my latest edition of Creating Keepsakes mag....they didn't do a 'calendar' like I have for you, but I followed the same 'idea'.....

I found this 'frame' at HL...it actually had a picture frame in the middle of it....I popped it out and began to go with my idea! All I did was searched online for the 'monthly' calendars...printed them out and then began to create! I used QKD stamps on EVERY month! So...without further ado...here are all the months!

I cannot tell you how much FUN this project was!! Once I picked my stamps I just started PLAYING! I 'personalized' the special days for our family and some of the main holidays also! This creations just shows you the versatility of QK stamps! There is a stamp there for EVERYONE!

I hope you enjoyed this but now it is time for me to direct you on to another awesome blog and I'm certain more awesome creations!

A Royal Welcome to Amy Brown!

Oh wow, that is all I want to say. When I heard that Amy Brown was going to have some of her creations being released at Queen Kat Designs Stamps I was UBER excited (that means very excited). Even more so exciting is I got to create with one her designs!

Here is what I created using Mushroom Elf.

I simply colored her with my Copics, fussy cut her out and pop dotted her on a basic card base with a simple journaling spot and some beaded leaves that I have had around the house. I wanted to use only minimal elements to bring all the focus on the beautiful stamp image! Make sure at the end of the hop you stop by the store and pick them up! They are all stunning!

Well...it was fall....

But around here it is like summer again! UGGG....I'm ready for the cooler weather and for it to STAY! I know...a lot of you are NOT ready for the cooler or are already experiencing it....but we are in the 90's again!

So....it kind of fits perfect for the Queen Kat Designs Tuesday hop to use 'shoes' or even THESE shoes to inspire us for our hop!

Those shoes look HOT! HA!

How did those shoes inspire that card you ask...well...it was the SWIRLS!!! And the flames on his snowboard! I also noted the 'shiny' heals and I found some silver foil that I put through the embosser! I used Snow Bunny stamp and colored him with my copics....he is just too durn cute!

Fall is really here!

Welcome to another fantastic Tuesday Royal Hop brought to you buy Queen Kat Stamps!

Yes, fall is in the air! Even here in the south! Ahhhh....I love this time of year. Although if anyone can spare some rain for the folks in Mississippi we would be ever so grateful!

It is the third Tuesday of the month so that means COLOR inspiration....check this out, oh my these colors!

Absolutely yummy!

Here is what I came up with:

I chose to work with one of my favorite stamps! Swirl Tree Stamp! I went fairly simple...stamped it on a piece of BoBunny double dot with my brown Momento ink pad....added a few heart stickers that I had and a few bows tied with just some simple string! Super simple card but turned out super! Have just the friend in mine that I should send this to!

I thought I would also share this card that I found in my stash that I've not shared with you guys before and it kind of fits the challenge!

I used Punk Boy by Che for this one! And to make it even more special my sweet Lydia did the coloring! She is really good at that, especially for only being 13! Fussy cut him out and the fence!

And above is what I came up with! This little guy is called Snow Bunny! He is sooo cut and so much fun! I used my copics and he was a breeze to color. Of course had to fussy cut him out and then used the ribbon to give the effect of him going 'down hill'! HA!

Special Project.....

I love special projects...but to me it means I scrap a page! LOL....cuz most of the time I'm making cards with the wonderful QKD stamps but when special project comes out that means I get to SCRAP! LOL...

On top of it being 'special project' it was to be 'school inspired'.

Here is what I created...

I picked these pictures because they are of my grand daughter the day she was starting preschool! She is just a HAM and loves the camera still to this day to be pointed at her!! She will pose in a second! So these pictures were my inspiration. I used one of the stamps from one of the QK's past Royal Kits! I stamped right on the tickets....so much fun!

Scary Hop!!!

Hi guys! I'm a little late....had some bad back pain and took a 'loopy' pill which I RARELY do because I HATE them and it put me OUT!!!! I feel so bad but now I'm here and getting into this hop! It is color week and we are going with those 'scary' colors...well, they are really not scary, but they are some fun colors that we seem to see with the Halloween theme and that was PERFECT for this month's stamps!

I had fun with this one! Used Nice Legs set....stamped a few of the candies, cut them out and pasted them on! It is so much cutier IRL!

I pulled out one of the sets of stamps that came in the May Royal kit! (psssttt...it is on SALE!!!!) I love the dress form stamp! I stamped it 3 times and then added a little 'pizazz' with the trim to the bottoms of the forms! I thought it came out really cute!

Such a fun photo....but what kept hitting me was the RED and the wavy edges.....so here is what happened...

I added a little of the green in the coloring of the leaves and the 'wavy' part from using one of the templates that QK makes, you might not see it but I do! LOL!

Wow....this summer is almost over! Around here most of the schools have started back....we will start next Monday....hard to believe it went too fast!

And here is what I came up with....I had FUN with this one!

I got to play with Lady Emilia this month! For this card I stamped her with my stazon onto vellum! Then I got out my color pencils and colored just specific parts to make her pop! This is sooo neat in real life! And then I'm on a button kick this month so it was perfect that I got to use buttons!!!

At least here in the south it is HOT....and definitely full fledged summer....but then again it has been since May and it will stick around until at least the first of October! Yup....we live in the SOUTH!

Anyway....we have a HOT hop for ya today at Queen Kat Stamps! We are showcasing awesome stamps and all of us are using the colors RED, WHITE, and BLUE!

Here is what I came up with....

The stamps I used are from the Birds of a Feather set, of which there are only 2 left so I would HURRY and get one now (it's on sale too!). I donated the card to our local VA hospital...they love giving the patients little goodies like this with their breakfast on those special days like the 4th and Memorial Day....I encourage you to do that if you have a local VA!!!

Okay, so I will get used to this and actually am very excited to be part of this change! If you haven't noticed we at Queen Kat Designs are doing ONE hop! With LOTS of super stops!

Isn't it the BOMB!!! There are several different varieties and they make that perfect little touch to add to your projects! Here is a layout I did using one of them too...

Releasing GREAT time!

It is almost the first of the month which means NEW RELEASES for Queen Kat Stamps once again! That is right, this Wednesday there will be NEW STAMPS in the store! Woooohoooo!

Now, one more thing before I go on...I MUST take this time to THANK all the service members and their families on this Memorial Day! It is not to celebrate the beginning of summer, but this is the day we remember those that have fought and those that laid down their lives for the cause of Freedom! I want to especially thank my wonderful hubby who served 20 years in the US Navy and currently my oldest daughter, Ashley, and her wonderful hubby Lance for serving in the Air National Guard! Ashley has spent about 8 months of the last 15 in active duty roll and this time last year was serving in the United Arab Emeritz! We are so proud of her!

Okay...back to the hop!

I got to design with two new WIS girls, but I'm only gonna show off one of them! AND to switch things up we are doing anything BUT a card this week....we had a little booboo and thought that we were just going to do any stamps until remembered that this was release time so we needed to show off the new stamps...so...I whipped up one more project! I took the new release, Anna Sapheer, and used her on a layout! It is a layout of my wonderful hubby and his brother when they lived in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, they actually got to go back several years later and do another stint there with their dad when he was in the Navy! Vince was all of about 3 and his brother was 1....don't you love the hats! Lucky guy to have lived in Hawaii two different times!

I thought she would be perfect on a layout like this! I love adding her to my growing collection of all the WIS girls!

Then, thought I would go on and show you a few other layouts using QKD stamps....

My sweet son, Adison, right before going to prom with his sweet friend. I used one of the QK Background stamps!

THEN.....this one....

I used the stamps from the March/April Findings kit!!! OH MY.....if you haven't checked out those kits you neeeeeed too! They are one of a kind kits!

OH MY GOODNESS! I am beyond excited about this release from Queen Kat Designs!!!

A new line of stamps called Sin Bonet Sue! And they are out of this world adorable! Girls with attitude!!! Not that I am one to condone 'sin' but this one is just a must have! HA!

And the BEST thing about Monday's is that it is HOPPIN time again!

This week, being the 3rd one of the month, is always a color challenge and ours was monochromatic! Oh....this is a BIG challenge for me....I like LOTS of colors...LOL

BUT here is what I did come up with....

I went with the all neutral colors of brown! The stamps are ALLL QK stamps, and the birdcage one is like my allll time favorite! And if you hopped a few weeks ago, I shared this card....

again using all the neutral brown colors and this month's WIS kit!

I do like how they both turned out but man....that is a super challenge to me! HA! How about you trying it and sharing your creation with me??? I'd love to see what you come up with.

This being the first of the month the Design Team gathers our inspiration from a sketch...and here is the Monday's team sketch...

This month I'm designing from the WIS Monthly kit....Suri is this month's girl...she is BEAUTIFUL...

I'll be sharing several cards this month using her, but for this sketch I decided to use one of the other stamps in the set to show you all how fun all the sets are! Here is what I came up with...

I stamped a couple of the sets of the flowers, did a quick 'color' and then fussy cut them out...tied them with a bit of ribbon and pop dotted them on a circle that was dry embossed. I just love how it turned out!

Now, just because I need to show how beautiful Suri is also...here is a card I made using her...

Can't wait to share more creations with her throughout the month! Keep checking in every Monday for more!

Hello my hoppin friends! It is Monday once again and time for another Queen Kat Designs Hop! It is also the last week of the month so that means it is INSPIRATION Monday!

First, the 'detail' stuff....you should have hopped here by way of the Dark Ink Sorority blog....did you? If not, go start at the top so you won't miss a thing! We start every Monday (and Tuesday also....did you know we did another hop on Tuesday with more of the Design Team???) at the official Queen Kat Designs Blog! And you WANT to check the blog out for our BIG news!!!!!! Did you hear????

Okay....back to the inspiration! Here is what we were given to inspire us this month....isn't the coolest??

Here is what I came up with...

First I picked up the circles....I love circles...then the red and black jumped out at me...I wanted to put a 'touch' of blue in there but I just couldn't make it fit with this card, but I will say those are AWESOME colors to work with...you should try it sometime!

For my card I used Pink Candy Hair (she is waiting to be made out of rubber! Wooohooo!). I stamped her and only colored in a couple of the flowers...just to make them pop! Making simple cards like this is right up my alley! I love to color, but there are times I just want to go with the stamp and all of the QKD stamps are great for that!

We had fun this weekend at the Flower crop for Queen Kat Designs.....did you check it out? Make sure you do!

This is the Monday that we have a color challenge....this week was to create with yellow, blue and green! Here is what I came up with...

I used one of Che's designs Called Wa Loli....she is the cutest....and what makes this even more special is that my 13 yo dd, Lydia, colored her! She is a avid fan of all Queen Kat stamps and plays with them about as much as I do, but she is very fond of the stamps from the Dark Ink Sorority line! I think she is going to do just fine when it comes to stamping!

I had a blast creating this! I've seen so many layouts lately with the little 'banner' type trim so I decided to give it a whirl. I used all sorts of new and old goodness on here....everything from 7 Gypsies 97% Complete stickers, some Dream Street alphas, a little Hambly and the flowers I fussy cut from some old Imagination Project printed paper! Oh and there is more.....and believe it or not, the BACKGROUND paper is from a Christmas collection! And of course....don't forget the Prima flowers! HA.....I just got lost in this creation and had a blast. The picture is an old one too....my hubby and my now 13 yo dd many years ago swinging together...I actually scrapped this picture when I first started scrapping but love the picture so much, had a duplicate and just had to scrap it again! Hope you enjoy!

I used April's release called Sadie's Victory Stamp by Maigan Lynn. I used my Copics and Prima's to color her and then I fussy cut her out (my favorite thing to do....). I used some older Basic Grey (because I wanted to use purples and I don't have many of those...hmmm.....)

It rolls around sooooo fast these days doesn't it!?

Yup....it is Monday Hoppin time again for Queen Kat Designs! And if you didn't start from the top, or get lost along the way, go BACK to the start and check it ALL out! This is one of those months that we have 5 Mondays and that is always a special time...that means SPECIAL project time....Penny challenged us to make a BANNER...OH MY....Did I fret over this one! I just was at a loss....after a little thinking, looking in galleries and some mags here is what I came up with...

I decided to go with the spring theme.....I pulled out some of my old stamps and there this one was...it is from the March 09 kit! I can't believe that there are any of these in stock, and after today I bet they are GONE so go QUICK!!!! The CUTEST stamps are in this kit! Then I dug in my stash and found this cute frame! It is an older Elise chipboard frame....already had the nice holes so adding the ribbon was a breeze! NOW I have a cute little spring frame hanging up here in my room! More creativity! (and my dd thinks it is super cute...ha!)

For this week, I got to showcase Little Miss Alice. Isn't she the cutest! I actually stamped her, colored her but then I stamped her again on the printed paper and cut out her dress! I should show you the dimension on this one! Used a few pop dots to let her dress 'stand out'. I abosolutely LOVE how it turned out and will be giving this card next week to a dear friend when we are on tour to tell her THANK you for all she has done!

It is that time again!

MONDAY which means time for another Royal Monday HOP and if that is what brought you to my spot I'm sooo glad you stopped! If not, I'm super excited too because now you can SEE what our hops are alll about!

For those of you who do not know, Queen Kat Designs is one of the best acrylic stamp companies out there! It is one of the few 'small businesses' left that we allll need to support! Wow....my first reaction was....uht ohhhh.....what am I gonna do....then I sat back and studied it a bit longer....and here is the final product...

Obviously it was the 'squares' and the colors that began to inspire me. I love how it turned out!

I'm going to share this card with one of my good friends that is helping me with stuff for our choir tour this year! Shhhh....it's a surprise...and she LOVES surprises!

Now, here is what I came up with from the above picture....I'm still ooohhhing and aaahhhing over that room! I want one!

The colors just made me want to curl up by a warm fire with a good book.....I pulled the colors from my background and with that you could add just about anything to it...all colors will blend in with the warmth and richness. We are still spotlighting the January releases and I chose Awaiting the Moment and deiced to make a card for our middle school pastor's wife who is expecting their first boy!

Wow...where oh where did 2009 go??? Can you believe that the last RWH of the year (and there are changes coming next week!!!!!) is here!?!

We have had an awesome year at Queen Kat Stamps and I would personally like to thank V (the QUEEN KAT) for another awesome year. We instituted some awesome things in 2009. Hops, introduction of several new stamp designers, some fantastic design team members, and just lots of fun!

This week we are focusing on a technique and this one is called spotlighting. I've never done this before and I think I'm hooked! HA! I used one of my WIS girls, Peace of Mind. (sorry the picture is not the best....long story!)

I love this technique, because it makes your design just pop and it is sooooo easy! You can use the most complicated stamp and it isn't complicated at all!

Makes sure you check out Monday's hop also! There are some awesome creations on there using the same technique!

I used Evangeline. I colored her with my copics and then cut her out....I used the flower for her to 'lean' on.

I hope you enjoy my interpretation of the the sketch! I seem to 'stretch it a bit! HA!

Royal Wednesday Hop on a Tuesday!!!!

We are hopping on Tuesday instead of Wednesday because of Thanksgiving here in the states this week! Lots of folks traveling and what not so we thought it best to hop early!

This week is inspiration week and here is where we were to get our inspiration from:

Isn't it a BEAUTIFUL inspriation! I love the colors...the soft blues and the white/silver....and yes, that reminds me of the winter colors! So I picked up those colors and here is my result:

I used the Fancy Christmas Stamp Set. You can't see it but I stamped it with my versa and it is embossed in silver! Along with the edges of the image. Also, a few bits of the powder were scattered everywhere and in real life it adds such a wonderful effect....sigh...I so need to learn some photo tips for these cards! Paper is Basic Grey and Pink Paislee. And I've had this cute little Santa pick that I've been wanting to use, as soon as I stuck him behind the bow I knew he found a home! HA! The sentiment is a MM rubon.

AND it is Queen Kat Designs BIRTHDAY celebration week! We are 3! I've been blessed to be a part of QKD since the beginning! I've watched this company grow and evolve and I will say that it has all been good!

Okay...so it is Royal Queen Kat Wednesday Hop time...and this is the week we play with a sketch! Woohooo!

November Royal Kit!!!

OH YEA!!! This kit is beautiful!

What am I talking about? The Queen Kat Designs November Royal Kit! It is PACKED full of paper and goodies and the stamps...OH MY...you HAVE to have this stamp set!!! AND there are two options this month! They are both awesome, just the paper is a bit different!

Okay...here are a few of the creations that I did with this awesome kit! (please be advised that these pictures do NOT do these items justice! There is just something about taking a picture of a project that takes some of the umph away! LOL)

So far I've created one layout and 5 cards, but let me tell you, I could EASILY at LEAST double that!!! and I wouldn't be surprised if I could triple that!

This is the first Wednesday after release day so that means it is SKETCH time! Woohooo! The DT were all given the same sketch and we all interpret in our own way...so fun to see how everyone's is sooo different!

Here is this month's sketch: And if you know me, I love turning sketches! So I did!

Here is my creation...

I LOVE our new designers and had to get Cabaret Fairy as sooon as I saw her! I have a 12 yo dd that LOVES to color stamps and she saw this one and BEGGED me for her! And let me tell you, it will be in no time at all when she is creating with the rest of us because she can knock out some of these! Better than me that is for sure! HA! Anyway....make sure you check out all our new stamp designers because they are rocking it out! And with different styles to please everyone!

Okay....as much as I love you guys hanging out here with me, it is time to hop on! Off to see what Vicki the queen herself has in store for us today! I bet it is super! An Altered Wednesday hop that is!

Yes, our challenge that Maria gave us today was to ALTER A FRAME! YIKES! If you know me you know that I just LOVE to alter (cough cough cough.....yea right....)....so this WAS a HUGE challenge for me. I LOVE looking at altered items and often BUY stuff to alter I just never do it! So....went to my closet of 'stash' for this occasion and yup...there were several frames just sitting there ready for me to use. Then I thought, hmmm....hubby and I have an anniversary so make something for us! So....here is what I came up with, to celebrate 22 years of being married to my BEST friend!

I used some of the stamps from the September Royal Kit (the kit ROCKS!!!). And then the Bingo Card stamp is from the Findings Kit (you reallllly want to subscribe to this kit too...they are only every other month and no 2 kits will be alike!!!).

I actually had fun making this frame and hubby loved it! Yes, that is a picture of the two of us...and yes, we ARE that much in love.....aren't I lucky?!

Today is our color challenge! The colors that Marie chose this time are Olive, Yellow Bronze, Brown, and Cranberry. YUMMMY colors!

Here is what I came up with! I used one of Maigan's beautiful ladies, Peace of Mind!

I stamped her and cut her out. Her 'wings' are actually done with stickles to add a little dimension and depth!

Sketchy Friday!

First...my thoughts and prayers are with all of the folks out there that lost loved ones on this tragic day 8 years ago....and my THANK YOU's go to all those unsung HEROs from that day that walked INTO danger!!! And last but not least THANK YOU to all those that serve our country for the cause of FREEDOM whether it be here at home or serving in a foreign country!

I don't know if you know it or not, but every FRIDAY Scrapbook Heaven's blog has a NEW sketch go up!!! I don't know about you but I love them and they so often serve as a jumping board to many layouts and cards that I create!

I used the Swirl Tree Stamp in the Separates line! The 'Give Thanks' is from the Give Thanks Stamp Set (perfect for the upcoming Thanksgiving season!)

I added a few pears just to dress up the tree, but all alone it is beautiful!

Now, it is time to see how Penny used the sketch! (She is one of our layout designers! Woohoo so not only do you see cards created with the sketches but also layouts!) I'm sure she has something awesome in store for us along with all the other Queen Kat DT!

Release day HOP!!!

Wooohooo! I cannot believe it is already September! Crazy how fast this month went...BUT that is always a good thing when it is time for new stamps to be released!

First....you should have hopped here from Shannon's Blog! If you just 'happened' on my blog (first THANK YOU!) you will want to start at the BEGINNING of this hop! Now.....on to the release!

I got to play with Peace of Mind...isn't she just BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I just go aaahhhh....when I see her...so tranquil and peaceful!

Here is one card I made with her....(you'll have to check in later this month to see more!!!!)

I used some stickles for her 'wings' and love the effect that it made!

NOW along with the girls that are being released this month we added some more accessories!!! (You know every girl needs to accessorize!)...and I played with the present stamp!

I know....it really was meant to go with Holly as a Christmas Present, BUT I just wanted to show you how versatile this is! I used it as a birthday present!!!

Isn't it super!!! Oh, and I also used the Fairie Tales Stamp Set for my sentiment! Yup...you will want all 3!
